Registration for 2009 has now closed, but YIs interested to attend in June 2010 should contact their National Society of Internal Medicine to enquire about the local selection process criteria. Applicants near the end of their training will benefit most from this experience and will be given priority above more junior trainees.

4th Young Internists day- Istanbul 2009
During the last EFIM conference at Istanbul a fourth meeting of European young Internists was held. The day included discussions on issues relevant for young Internists across Europe, exchange of ideas and experiences, Medical gymnasium and a guest lecture. Social activities hosted by the Turkish Internal Medicine Society followed. Stay tuned for the upcoming events in Stockholm 2010.
6th EFIM Seminar on Clinical Research Thursday 16 - Saturday 18 April 2009
The sixth EFIM Clinical Research Course will be held in Paris 16-18 April 2009.
Servier International has again provided a grant to enable this important educational resource to be made available for young internists.
We will receive applications (download form here) from Young Internists (under the age of 36) until the 31st January 2009 Places are limited.
The Selection Committee (Daniel Sereni, Loic Guillevin and Chris Davidson) will assess all applications, and candidates will be informed in February whether or not they have been successful.

EFIM Young Internists Subcommittee
The Young Internists Workgroup of EFIM has recently been officially announced as the first subcommittee of EFIM. This decision was approved by the EFIM Executive committee. Dr Mine Durusu Tanriover will chair the subcommittee with Dr Roger Duckitt as the committee secretary. Nominations to the Editor of the subcommittee's website and to the working-groups towards Rome 2008, European Exchange Program and research projects were also made.
